Why Shred?

In 2010, 8.1 million Americans became victims of identity theft, resulting in the loss of $37 billion, according to a report from Javelin Strategy and Research. The most common forms of identity theft are documents/benefits fraud, phone or utilities fraud and employment fraud. To help keep thieves from accessing these materials, BBB urges everyone to properly dispose of sensitive documents and electronics that contain this information.

Why Recycle?

Recycling helps create the products we use every day. According to a report published by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Americans generated approximately 243 million tons of trash and only recycled about 82 million tons in 2009. The shredding services offered on Shred Day will recycle 100 percent of the shredded materials and will help promote a greener community.
